Has anyone had any issues with the above? I've upgraded to an AMD 64 x2 and firstly found XP SP2 won't work with it. After discovering this issue i've realised that there is some conflict between my graphics card and mobo and processor. Does anyone know what causes this and have any ideas for...
the problem with the repair tool is it often doesn't find the previous installation, hence the error message ... if you can run it then do but it probably won't find the prev install unless you run as a new installation
thanks all - appears the errors are because my psu has only 20 pins and it requires 24 to fully boot windows via my motherboard. guess i'm out buying the coolermaster real power 450 tonight then!
that old bootmgr error! lovely. best thing to do is get a full copy of windows and a new hard drive and start again. save you losing all the data from your original hard drive. the usual fix for bootmgr is to reinstall vista without selecting to repair. i'm assuming you've tried this?
does anyone know a way to have 3 ide drives running at once?
is it possible to place one in the slave section of the cable running from my dvd burner?

the light tubes stick on with little sticky pads, similar to those in cable tidy kits. above and below the glass - not on it! ha ha. they usually wire up via your harddrives and share a power connector similar to front fans.
thanks. when using the new hard drive i attempted to install vista 64 which was going well then crashed. whenever i attempt boot with this drive it comes up with the famous "BOOTMGR" error. i believe attempting a reinstall of vista should resolve this but i'm still none-the-wiser ....
