It seems that people are giving advise without reading the first post properly. If he cannot start the Windows then how is he supposed to shut it down 'properly'?

Hello, I am unable to burn MP3's from my DVD burner. I have tried various programs - iTunes, Ultra Mp3, Imgburn, Acousitca etc. The most peculiar thing is that all the programs show that they are burning the disc. they even give a 'Successfully done' message in the end. But the disc is blank...

For some reason I have not been able to burn even a single disc through Nero. I personally use Imgburn for a DVD image file and DVDFAB for others.

That's true. The first time I downloaded a huge mkv. file, I had to suffer endless amounts of programs to change it (that time mkv. was new). Everybody seemed to recommend ConvertXtoDVD. It did the job but my 11 GB download ended up as 3.5 GB! I could have easily downloaded a DVD5 at 4.5 or so...
