The video card does seem like the obvious choice, except for the fact that my music also cuts out when the screen goes into power saving mode. I will install new video card drivers and mobo drivers when I get home again to see if that fixes the problem.
Anyone have any other ideas???
Thanks,
Jake
I know that I wrote a lot but I am being concise, please read it if you think you will be able to help me!!!
I have a pretty high end system (750watt PSU so that's not the problem), I'll edit this when I get home and give you specifics but here is my problem:
Monitor randomly goes into power...
Think this one would do the job till more dx10 come out?

Has excellent reviews and people say it can play BF2 high settings no problem, so I'm guessing it can handle everything I have now.
Thanks,

Which of these RAM would be best for a new conroe build? Will most likely be using a P965.

Yea only problem is that my old computer entirely melted down, shorted out the processor and mobo. So I currently have no computer and I need one fast so I don't know how long I can wait, I'd like to get started as soon as I possibly can. And my old video card was a 128mb ati radeon from like 6...
Would it be better to buy say something around a 7800 in hopes of getting another one to put in SLI in the future or getting an 8800 GTS and not planning on upgrading for a long time (and not worrying about sli). I want to futureproof this computer for at least some time, as I will be building...

Someone posted in a review for that mobo that they are...
Most common timings I see are 4-4-4-12, 5-5-5-12, and 5-5-5-15. Which are the best and why? I'm gonna be building a conroe system soon and haven't built a computer in a few years. Any advice is welcome.
Thanks,
Jake
Yea i'm looking for something around 150-200$ if you could recommend the best one to me in your opinion, socket 775 that supports SLI if you could. It's been 4 years since I built a computer so I don't know what the best options are right now.
Thanks,
Jake
