That's the problem. I don't know the make of the motherboard. The cpu-z program I'm using identified it as something even the manufacturer couldn't recognize. However, that is an intriguing idea. Do you know any other programs that will identify the board?

Winfast motherboard (exact model I don't know where to find) Corsair 400mhz memory

There are only 2 slots to put the memory in. If i put the new stick in where the other stick was, the computer boots just fine. If I put either stick in the 2nd slot, the computer doesn't boot.

I'm looking at buying a new processor and video card. I'm pretty much settled on an Athlon 3500 but I'm not quite sure what to do with the video card. I'm looking at the nvidia 7600 though I don't know if it would be a good buy at its price of around 170. Does anyone have any suggestions?
