Hi. I'm trying to build a new PC and I need some suggestions. I'm set on the following parts:
Intel Core i5 2500k
ATI 6950 ~$230(unless there is a better GPU for similar price, anyone??)
8GB G Skill DDR3 RAM
All I care about is playing Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 (when it comes out).
I need...
This might be a stupid question but here it goes:
I have a P35-ds3r mobo and it currently has Patriot Extreme 2GB (2 x 1GB) DDR2 800 PC2-6400 RAM with 4-4-4-12 timing (stock).
I have two more slots for RAM, and I want to get G.Skills 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 800 PC2-6400 RAM with 5-5-5-15 timing...
Thanks guys, but I never really looked into an AMD... I would prefer a Core i5 or something. Not really sure how the two compare, but I'm sure the Core i5 is better (but also more expensive because of MOBO/CPU change).
Can you guys recommend a Core i5 setup? I'm assuming everything will stay...
I haven't built a computer in a couple years and I have no idea what is good anymore... need a little help to get back in the business. I need to build a computer that will beat my current setup, but I need to keep it under $800. My current PC specs:
Core 2 Duo E6750 2.66Ghz
2GB DDR2 800 RAM...
Alright guys, I have a problem... if it is a problem.
I have a gaming pc right now that doesn't lack any resources... I have 3 OS's sitting in front of me, they are:
1) Windows XP SP3
2) Windows Vista SP1 32-bit
3) Windows Vista SP1 64-bit
I need your guys' opinions, which one should I put on...
Hey guys,
I just want to see how data stream works. I'll be happy with getting some kind of data stream to a port on my computer and then manipulating the incoming data with C++... (I'll be happy with just reading the incoming stream with C++ and outputting it to a text file).
Is there...
Actually, I just wanted to get a feel for signal processing in general. Any device would be good, I just want to learn how it's done.
Is there a way to do this with C++ or Java?
I was wondering if anyone has done any kind of data stream through ports?
I'm not really sure what "data stream" is, but this is how this one guy explained it: you have data continuously being fed to one of you ports and you take that information and manipulate it...
How can I set up a data...
I was wondering if anyone has ever done anything with signal processing (i.e. radio signal processing) in C++ or Java.
I want to learn how signal processing is done... I googled it but I'm not getting anything for C++/Java signal processing... they talk a lot about what it is, but they don't...
Wow, haven't been on here FOREVER! Here is a very basic breakdown of what is happening:
I want to uninstall Vista and Ubuntu.
I installed XP, then Vista, then Ubuntu. So the sequence at boot time is, GRUB tells me to choose Ubuntu or Windows, once I choose Windows, I get a choice between XP or...
My computer in my SIG runs Windows XP Professional. My laptop runs Vista Premium using C2D 2.0GHz, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD 5400RPM.
Although my desktop is a lot more powerful than my laptop, XP loads slower than Vista.
What kind of computer are you using? It must be old if Vista takes longer to boot...
From what I've read on a review site about two weeks ago, they said the SP1 RC seems to be worth it. They saw multiple improvements. But they did recommend, for the cautious, to wait until the final release.
It seems like a good OS so far. I haven't had one problem with it. But I can't wait until SP1 comes out, I heard it extends battery life (not sure by how much though). And uses resources more efficiently.
I have a feeling some people think Vista "looks" slow because they have a C2D. The C2D's...
I have used Vista for about 3 weeks now and I haven't had a problem with it. All my devices are compatible, the OS feels a lot more stable, etc.
I don't understand why most people hate Vista... the reviews I've read made it seem like a nightmare.
