yea tested with headphones and other speakers. Got drivers off nvidia today, reinstalled twice, still same problem. I had the same problem with old mobo, seems like port on towers messed.

SP2 just screwed every single time i put in any kind of graphic driver at all, and i mean any, i tried loads. maybe it just doesnt like something im using. Anyway, not too bothered not using sp2 tbh, just glad i can use my comp again

windows sp2!! it was ms all along!! installed another windows without sp2 built in and guess what....its all fixed...completely fixed
