have you installed the drivers? if not, then install it. just use the default driver first, if you are not having an issue with the updated drivers.

your ping from speedtest will be accurate. but when you see your ping in online games, it should be change. your isp host ---> to online server host. it is based on my experience, coz i tried playing playing games in UK and im from PH.

what games are you playing? it is possible that your concern is "ping" just my wild guess, might be the server is too far? so the latency is higher? correct me if im wrong :)

i agree that windows 8 is better. i like the performace of windows 8. but not the UI :))

i'm not sure but i remember i used cisco network magic software something... :D although i know that router has a default ip address to access the configuration. no idea what your planning to do.

probably your pc recognize your old adapter as default. try to change it.
