I bought a new computer yesterday, and thus had to buy a video capture card (ATI Wonder 650) that is compatible with Vista.
I have a $300 outdoor security camera that I plug into the capture cards composite input and have a program I bought that records upon motion detection, and can stream...
I needed to reinstall Windows Media Player, and a few other things that I removed from my original Windows install. But after doing the repair install (I guess technically a "upgrade" install) my computer takes forever to reboot, forever to load, and forever to do anything.
What's wrong? Maybe...
That's so stupid that you can't install it after. The one time in 5 years I actually need Media Player is a month after I upgrade to Vista.
I have an original Vista DVD with everything still on it, but it is way bigger then my "lite" version. Can I install the OS without erasing any of my files...
Re: I am supposed to get a download speed of "up to 5 mbps" I'm only getting 2100 kb/

Is this acceptable, it will rarely get over 3000 kb/s for a few minutes at 3 in the morning. But it is usually 2000. But the provider advertises "up to 5 Mbps", and I'm getting less then half of that? I heard no...
I figured it out...I had to go digging in the ceiling. It was an old coaxial cable going from the cable company box on the outside of the house to the splitter in the ceiling in the basement, then a new cable went from there to the wall plate where the modem was plugged in. So I just ran a new...
OK, well I just upgraded from high speed light to high speed at home because I had little need for it before. I would just use the schools wireless, or a friends wireless with my laptop.
I am seeing a very little difference in speed when it should be a huge difference. I am supposed to get "up...
All I had to to is go to the office and sign this form. They gave me the user name and password I enter when windows prompts me too. But still, what type of encryption are they using?
And is there anyway I can browse the internet without going through all the school crazy filters and...
