Yes it is normal mine does it too but mine has a sticker on it that actually says it is normal. but u shouldnt keep shaking it or it will break. and as long as you cant hear that rattle when the hard drive is in the laptop when your moving it around normal then its fine.
Did you go to add/remove software then to add/remove windows components? because i installed ie 7 and after uninstalled it fine. you can uninstall it from there then just re-install ie 6 from you windows cd. it wont mess up your Windows at all.

Actually The Processor Sends A Signal To Pin8 On The Power Connector On The MotherBoard Which Is The Power Ok Signal. If the That Signal Is Not Sent/Recieved The Power Is Cut. Google It Before Telling Me Im Wrong Because I Know Im Right.
