    ~£500 Computer build ratings/advice

I'm sorry but it all seems good apart from the Case. I do admit that Casecom have some good reviews on cases, but if you could fork out an extra £20-30 you will get a case of much better quality and airflow. They might even be more aesthetically pleasing.

New Build, Need Some Help Please!

It does look good but am I right in saying that the Coolermaster HAF 922 is a mid-case, for a system like that I would recommend a full case, something like the Coolermaster HAF X, this means airflow will be increased and you can water cool/liquid cool it.

    Booting problem

I would recommend resetting the CMOS battery, your system may have a button to do this or you might have to do it manually. This will reset your BIOS password and it means that you will be able to go onto that, its a good start.

New pc build disappointing need advice

I do think that the fact it is a laptop, gaming is not that good on them. I would stick to the desktop for gaming in future as these are easy to upgrade, safer to overclock and they are just generally better for gaming as it is more comfortable. If you are gaming laptops can suffer heat issues...

    Bad virus, considering my options.

I would recommend a reformat to be honest, purely because even if a virus protection program can fix it... it might still be lurking around in your system somewhere and it is ready to strike again or steal your personal information. I would definitely consider the reformat. Every time I get a...

    Need help upgrading my computer

SSD Drives are great anyway. You can get a 120gb Agility 3/Force 3 from Ebuyer for just over £100 now. Amazing considering the performance increase! If you do consider buying one Nero.Price, I would recommend putting your Operating System and the software you have on start up as well such as...

Re: Computor fourms vent I am a new member and I am not to sure about this, although if there isn't one that is a really good idea and it might be an idea contacting a Forum Administrator about this.

    Recommend getting this? [Gaming PC]

I am going to have to say the same as Der-PC-Mann. I would recommend either building one yourself, if not I am sure there is someone that you know that might be able to help you out with choosing the parts. Once you have the parts a local IT business will put the parts together for you. Make...

    Ip

If you want a different IP because of Privacy reasons you could always use a Proxy Server to hide your IP Address, although this would mean making your own Proxy Server to how you would like it, I would recommend contacting your ISP.

    Building a new personal server

I would recommend Ubuntu but you need good knowledge in Ubuntu or experience with it. If you do go with it I would do some research before you use it as it can become complicated.

    Problems with Minecraft

I would recommend updating Java as it runs off of that maybe re-installing that. Re-install Minecraft and then I would also recommend running it as administrator. If none of this works update your video drivers and try running as administrator again.

    Do you favor globalization?

Globalization is good in certain ways, but it does have its ups and downs. If you don't want to be a part of Globalization then contact your ISP and stop using the internet, stop your phone contract and go live in a cave for the rest of your life. If you do want to be a part of Globalization...

Hi, I am Jamie and I study computing in all aspects and it is also my biggest hobby. The main areas I enjoy are hardware and the use of software (Photoshop etc). I joined this forum because I thought it relates to my studies and maybe I will be able to help people out. Thanks, Jamie.
