It seems like there is something wrong in the video memory. You may want
to run a memory check using mem86 or windows memory check. I would check
the power supply as well

It can be a driver issue, but mostly it will be shown in the device manager with a red/yellow mark. Try switching the pci slots. Is there someting written on the sound card? Sometimes the model no will be marked.

Oh boy lot of things happening here..
Well I would check those connectors once more.
Then I would check if my PSU is good. If so I would disconnect the
whole thing and start over.

Yup its catch 22. Depends on what your intentions are. IF you are looking for extra storage you can use USB storage devices. The con with this is that you have to carry it around when you are on the move. But if you are looking forward for better and faster and spacious harddrive the only way...
