Hi well i have a celeron 2.8ghz..as some of you know lol (pva) :| im wondering what a good cooler would be. either cooljag JAC362A $35AU or Thermaltake Spark 7+ Xaser Edition $45AU. it is a celeron 2.8ghz 400fsb northwood, absolutely no overclocking so will the el cheapo JAC362A be sufficient...

does anyone know if it will boot up? because my motherboard only has these settings, HW/TRAP, 100/100.. so on.. 133/100 133/133 133/166*max if i put the 800fsb cpu and i set my motherboard to be 133/166 before hand anyone know if it will boot? or does it reset settings? motherboard: GA-8SIMLNF

alright i'll just buy the cpu, my gfx right now is a 6800LE 12pipes, 6vp and 2048mb pc2700mb ram :D getting wasted on friken CPU! :eek:

my friend is selling his pentium 4 3.0ghz northwood 800fsb to me for $60 but since my motherboard cant support 800fsb i'll have to underclock :| to 133x15 so will my current cpu celeron 2.8 perform worse than the p4 at only 1.9ghz? or is it worth it?? seriously short on cash cant afford new mobo :|

its a northwoodcore.. plus the heatsink i put on was uneven coz it got dinted from the case right in the middle :| so clumsy. well coz its a northwood i reckon these temps are pretty good .. lol anyone disagree? 45C idle, 55C full load now :D

well i decided not to get a new one since i only do light gaming. plus its been 100% load for 4 days now and max temp now is only 55C if it goes ne higher i'll get a new one

well i this is really stupid.. i was bored the other day so i decided to PVA my heatsink to my cpu since i could not be stuffed buying any thermal paste... well it is still glued on :mad: stupid idea*, and temps are ranging from 48C-58C full load. should i buy a new heatsink and fan or just...
