one more thing..while installing windows again, the computer froze while i was entering the cd-key. this is getting rediculous. i am seriously planning on returning all these parts and getting a laptop or something because i dont know if i can handle much more.
oh, and i just changed the ram speed from ddr400 to ddr333 in the bios to see what would happen, and windows got corrupted somehow. i didnt set an administrator pass, so repair console is worthless and i need to do another re-install. i love life SO much.

I got a flat screen tv recently, and I saw a thread about a program that could manipulate the output resolution for the computer..I want to hook it up to my TV, so I want to use the program to get the best possible resolution. I totally forgot the name. I think it started with a p..any ideas?

We are getting a widescreen flat panel television, and I want to hook up my computer to it. I was wondering if there was any way to set a resolution on my computer where there would be no horizontal distortion on the screen, so I would have a super horizontally huge desktop but a "normal"...
I've tried that just now..and nothing works. An interesting thing though...my friend has the same exact problem..and it started just as randomly as mine. His problem started yesterday..maybe there is a virus or spyware that is doing this that isn't detected yet?
