Is Crypto making a comeback? I better grab a new graphics card if it is.

Is the crypto market making a comeback? I need to think about replacing my aging RTX 2070 with a newer card. I wasn't going to rush into it, but occasionally on the news I hear about crypto being up. I've held off spending the money on a new card in the past because of the high prices when...

Max System RAM for Ryzen 5 5600G iGPU?

Just ran Superposition with visual settings at max. iGPU set at 8GB. Rez at 1080p. Kept HWINFO running in the background. These were the GPU memory usage results. Should that pgm have used more than what is indicated here?

Max System RAM for Ryzen 5 5600G iGPU?

My motherboard BIOS allows me to dedicate up to 8GB of system RAM to the iGPU. Does anyone know if the on-board iGPU can actually utilize that much memory? If it can, I'll add another 16GB of RAM to the system. If not, I won't waste my $. Thank you. Ryzen 5 5600G Asus Prime B450M-A II 16GB...

Clean All to secure wipe a SSD?

OK. Thank you all. Valuable info there. It seems like there are some "hidden" areas on the drive that would get missed by 'clean all'. At least, from what I've read. I may just smash and trash the drive and buy new just to be safe. They're pretty cheap now, anyway.

Clean All to secure wipe a SSD?

Will that pgm also wipe the SSD over-provisioning (OP )areas? I've read that those areas are hard to find and access.

Clean All to secure wipe a SSD?

I'm told by someone that running the 'clean all' command from the command prompt will secure erase a ssd sufficiently for resale. That due to the way ssd's store data, this will do the trick. I'd like some feedback from you folks on that if I may. Is clean all good enough?

95W TDP cooler for 84W TDP CPU?

I decided to go with something a bit beefier than 95W. But the skinny fan it comes with only runs at 2700 RPM max. So, I tested with Cinemabench. I read that Cinebench R23 provides worse a case scenario for a given CPU. The cooler ran at full RPM and temps maxed at 75C on the hottest core...

95W TDP cooler for 84W TDP CPU?

The cooler is this. The The PC is not an OEM or pre-built, it's put together by myself years ago and I'm upgrading it to keep it usable for some light gaming.

95W TDP cooler for 84W TDP CPU?

The little case has a 120mm front intake and a 92mm rear exhaust. But it also has a RX-580.

95W TDP cooler for 84W TDP CPU?

Would a 95W TDP air cooler be sufficient for cooling a i7-4790 (84W) in a small case? Or should there be more headroom than that? I'm concerned that the fan will be running at high speed (noisy) all the time. Strictly a general purpose machine, no OC of course.

Old High-end CPU Vs modern Budget CPU

Which CPU would be better for gaming (1080p) with a discrete graphics card? Old, but still kicking Intel i7-2600 Newer, but half the threads Ryzen 3 3200G Games would vary.

Are there any 3rd Party Anti-Virus/Anti-malware pgms that allow safe use of Win7 while online.

I still don't know if any of those Anti-virus/anti malware programs (the best of the best) would take the place of Microsoft no longer supporting Win7 with security updates, tho. Do you?

Are there any 3rd Party Anti-Virus/Anti-malware pgms that allow safe use of Win7 while online.

If there's a good app that's free, yes. Of course. But I'm not above spending some money if it's worth it either. Does the bitdefender free version actually make win 7 safe to use!?

Are there any 3rd Party Anti-Virus/Anti-malware pgms that allow safe use of Win7 while online.

As the title suggests, if I were to want to run Win7 on an older PC while online, is there any 3rd party anti virus app/malware app that would cover for Microsoft's lack of security support? Something like the premium version of Malwarebytes for example.
