I would wait until about X-mas time. You should expect to see Nforce 4, and other PCI express AMD mobos, cheaper DDR 2, and cheaper 939 proccessors. You would be getting one hell of a bang for your buck then, that's why I'm waiting until about then.

Your guess is the same as mine. I had an audigy 2 but sold it to go back to my soundstorm because I didn't see that much of a performance boost.

You would want the Opteron, not the FX. The Opteron is the same as an FX but it has dual proccessor support. It should give you all you want
