just a small clarification but... (this was over AIM)
Cinaibur: ok... i looked up the install instructions online and it says when it says to reboot to remove the cd and reboot
Cinaibur: but when i remove the cd and reboot it wont boot from my hdd
i read (dont quote me on this) that the difference in overclockign ability between X38 and P35 was non existant ~ people were able to overclock the same amount on the P35 as they were their X38. the difference was support for pcie-2.0 and 45nm cpu's... so same difference as between the 680i/780i...
EIST is speedstepping, a powersaving feature that decreases your CPU's multiplier when it isn't being stressed... pretty sure it has nothing to do with the fan O_o
The 8800 GS is 192-bit bus and will ship in 320MB, 512MB, and 640MB versions with a trimmed down number of stream processors as well.
maybe i'm bad at math but... how does this work? i think this is different than what was posted earlier about the GS...
you can just ... not mount a fan in the upper left hand slot, lol
all the reviews ive read say the tuniq and TRUE won't fit if you have a fan mounted there. meh, not a big loss i guess. still looks nice to have those 4 LED fans on the side though xD adds to the wow factor
im gonna measure the...
it doesnt fit if you have the fan bracket mounted for the sidepanel, so ive heard. in a couple of days ill open my case and see if it fits.
the dimensions listed do not take into account the fan bracket.
tracers and normal ballistix are the same except for the LEDs. the tracers were on sale, so thats why i suggested them. go with the 2x1gb pc6400 ddr2 crucial ballistix.
if you buy the OEM processor, you have to buy a heatsink to go with it.
you can go with the retail one and use the stock HSF for a while. it's easy to remove and clean when for when you get the tuniq.
XP 32-bit will work just fine
