Nevermind, all HD's are like that. Im not used to it because I installed 2 quiet fans and I am not used to hearing the Harddrive.

It worked Thank you. But now this HD seems a little loud too. maybe its at work I dont know. Let me try my other pc if its makin the same noise.

On My Restore Disks, it has Ghost on it. So can I do this?

Hello, In my Emachine, my HD is making funny noises.. I am thinking its on its way out.. can I replace it with another HD and reinstall windows with my restore disk? Thanks DunkinDonughts1

Ah.. I really dont need IE 7 as I dont like it. Im just worried about my updates and I got them.

I didnt try. Im afraid if I do Ill be hassled with windows validation messages saying that my copy of windows isnt legit but it really is

Because It says I need to validate my copy of Windows..But I dont get the message saying that I need to activate in 30days. I mean I already got my Microsoft Windows Updates??

Only thing is that I cant install IE7. Oh well I dont like it anyway. I use mozilla.

Great News!! I put in my restore disks.. it wiped everything clean and put a fresh copy of windows on there (with a whole bunch of there crap.. lol) Im installing updates as we speak.. and it didnt ask for the product activation.. YAY Thank you so much.. now this computer will be faster!

Symantec Ghost is deleting all the files.. Will post in a little bit on the progress.

Alright.. but can you help me out with the processes running high? Should I just reformatt? this pc was bought in 03. But I dont know how to get past Activation as because this product key I can only use once and we used it once to activate it back in 03. Thanks for staying with me. Appreciated!

I also noticed that the boot time takes awhile too..... I really dont wanna reformatt either because I only have restore disks and microsofts policy is I can only use the product key once... and I used it to activate it when I bought the computer
