Hi All,
Does anyone have an old laptop or desktop that they no longer use that they wouldn't mind giving away. It doesn't have to work or even have all the parts inside.
I'll come pick it up, I'm just north of Toronto, in Vaughan.
Thx.
Hi all,
I could use some help in finding a decent laptop (preferably under $200CAD). I'm not really sure what to look for so i dont really want to look on ebay/kijiji type sites. I'd like it to be able to:
-play HD movies (using VLC) on my HDTV via HDMI cable.
-Win7 would be nice.
-Decent...
I tried everything. Changing the channel, playing with all the settings. I even bought and tested a new router (same version) to see if there was something wrong with mine. Nothing worked. I used a program to scan what other nearby router channels are being used and went to one that was not...
^^^Like i said, wireless isn't cutting it. I need a different option. My current router is on a different frequency than all other items in the home and problems persist. 900MHZ baby monitor, 2.4GHZ router, 5.8GHZ cordless phone.
Other options please.
Hi All,
I have a DIR-615 wireless router that just isnt cutting it anymore. The router works fine (as i've already tried replacing it) but the signal issues persist. At this point i believe there is some signal that i can't find that's blocking the wireless signal in the area i use it the most...
I'm re-hashing this old thread b/s I was at my b-in-laws house yesterday and found out that some of his old files are not accessible. I havent used Vista (home premium) at all so I have no experience with it. Anyways, his old pictures and some other files/folders are all being locked out by...

Hi all,
I have been having some wireless issues recently. I have a d-link DIR-615 for the past year or so. I have a desktop hooked up to it with a cable in the same room and I use a laptop in another room which is downstairs and on the other side of the house. I have always been able to get the...
I added the old IDE drive into the box. I didn't change any of the jumper settings, which i believe the jumper was actually missing (which may mean master). Booted up vista. It booted up fine. No dual boot. The drive was recognized as drive I: and all the files were there and accessible even the...
But if the IDE drive is set as the master, won't the system try to boot off of that then, or is there somwhere in the bios telling it to boot off of SATA?
I'm buying a new PC for my b-in-law who stuffed his: http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=4651460&CatId=2663
The HDD from the old PC should still be fine so I want to add it to the new PC so that we can grab the files off of it. The new PC comes with Vista...

I have to stick the old HDD in there, but i'll start a new thread for that.
