I use wifi adapters all the time. Although it hasn't happen to me but reading on amazon reviews it has something to do with power. There is a power setting you have to change. Ill see if I can find it real quick. Also I recommend getting something like this next time you buy one...

That was straight Ethernet. When I use 5ghz wifi my speed is I don't understand why the upload is so freaking slow on my upload. If I use 2.4Ghz The download drops down to like 5mb! It doesn't help that I'm picking up 17 different WIFI SSID!!! I'm using a R7000 NightHawk
