ok, found out it was not the router. It was my cable. My incoming line to the house was in pretty rough shape. A technician swapped it out and now its all good
I have 2 d link routers, the DI-624 is terrible, i have to be within 10 feet of the router with nothing in between to get a signal on my notebook. I just got a DI-524 and it is much better. the router is hooked up in my basement, and I use my notebook on the second floor in my office.
I have three computers in my house. Two desktops and 1 notebook. If I have my cable modem hooked up to the main computer my internet is fine. If I hook up through my router (D Link DI-524), then my internet connection goes out here and there. Usually it goes out for a few minutes. Any ideas?
I have the same problem on both my computer and my brothers. It only happens when we have them both online through the router. If just one computer is online through the cable modem it does not happen.
