It might be some webshield protection which is built into Nortan internet security packages, disable it quickly and see if a search works on google, if not then see if your isp has a problem and call them up ;)

Mabey it's a certain firewall blocking the programs? May also be a virus or spyware problem. scan your computer and see if it finds anything. sounds like theres something bad in your system :beard:

Just searched around on google about that memory, never heard of it my self but it looks like they have been making them for a long time. I can see that there making DDR 2 and there from japan, and as i read they are japans leading manufacturer so they must be decent.

I may not be correct, but i personally think that a higher end card will perform better at higher resolutions. Also even if you have more memory, without the speed you would not be able to really put much use to it, its like a g-force fx 5200 256mb vs a fx 5900 128mb, even though the 5200 has...

I gotta say i love the pump shotty, its so powerfull on the cs_assualt maps. Also use the ak47 alot, a few good shots and they die and i can't missout the scout, use it alot on snipin maps and can kill with 1 shot. :D

I can tell you that those speakers are a very good choice, It's a good quality speaker setup, theres alot of wires with those speakers though. As its an audigy series sound card it should be good and yes it will be good for watching dvd's and playin games [especially hl2].

Ive got that card [oem w/driver discs], Put it in any pci slot, as for for installing, i just put the card in[obviosly disable onboard sound] and then install drivers, add speakers and enjoy great sounds. not sure about updating, never needed to update my sound card drivers.
