Hey guys,
Built a computer for my parents and been having a hell of a time with it. Heres the story:
First of all the specs:
1 x GIGABYTE gz-ph2a3 Black SGCC ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
1 x ASRock N68-S UCC AM3/AM2+/AM2 NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
1 x LOGISYS...
thanks for finding a reason to show ur comp off, I already said I have it why would I buy another?
and how does lowering my temps 10-15 degrees not work well? ive overclocked my cpu to 3.12 with a difference of 2 degrees... seems to work fine for me
With Xoxide going out of business I figured it would be a good time to upgrade the stock HSF on my CPU being that it seemed like a cheap one compared to the Athlon 65 4400+'s stock HSF that I upgraded from.
I got This HSF for 28 bucks including shipping (great deal!)
and it lowered my temps...
I have This Case and its a good case, but im looking for something with better cable management options and better airflow. Preferably less than $100... can you guys point me in the right direction...
Ive already suggested the powersupply, I really cant see it being anything else if your only playing source games... unless you have viruses bogging your system down
2 gigs is not really that bad if hes not playing newer High end games.
and Zeating your ram is underclocked right now then, you should be able to go into your bios and get it to running at the full 800MHz its rated for...
If you dont know how to get into the bios, soon as you start your comp...
well CPUZ's value is always half of the actual MHZ of the RAM... so your really running at ~700 MHz... but yeah clean out some bugs on the comp, or even if your willing to back up your stuff and reformat windows likes to bog down after a while.
Maybe the power supply isnt getting enough power...
Hey guys, Im building a comp and the case that im using has a little temperature sensor for a front LCD to monitor CPU temp.
Its like a little flat ribbon looking thing. Now on it it says "Don't clip sensor between CPU and Heatsink." I googled it and people say to put in between. If thats...
So I ordered parts for a friend of mine to build him a little budget PC and I got him a motherboard with onboard graphics because he is just using it for internet, media and stuff. Well he asked me if he would be able to do dual monitors and he said he had a splitter, but I thought I heard that...
Did you try changing you input device in vent's setup. Also try going into you sound properties in control panel and make sure your mic is selected as your recording device
