I have a 2001 Sony Vaio PCG-FX240 (Case model PCG-983L) and when replacing the 15GB harddrive to a 80GB HD I broke the harness that plugs into the harddrive pins and wraps around to plug into the board. Anyone know where I can find one or what the name for that peice is so that I can search it.

I have an IBM Travelstar djsa-220 HD that went bad in my sony vaio laptop. Its 15 GB abd 4200rpm. I want to upgrade to around 30GB, but want one the same size. I dont want to have to buy a slimline and put shingles in. Hoping someone can reccomend a good model to fit my needs. Thanks.

i think you misunderstood.....i got the rpms and voltage. i need to know what the extra stuff is on the first link you gave me. I went to sony vaio and put in my model(pcg-fx 240). It comes up with more info. than what is on my hard drive. It says other stuff like: "mm", "MS", and...
