ive only had these for a couple days.
yes, everything is connected correctly, and i tried installing the new drivers for the motherboard but there is still no option for a 3 channel system
do i need a sound card? thats what my buddy suggested but it just doesn't seem right.
Hey everyone, I just got my parts and built my system and let me start off by saying that its an awesome machine.. I appreciate all the help in getting the parts together.
My problem right now however is that the sub on my Logitech Z2300 speakers will not work. My motherboard is a Gigabye...
Hey guys, I appreciate the help in getting these new parts together. The price drop has came and it's about time for me to order my parts. This is going to be the first computer I've ever built though, so I want to make sure I am doing this right.
Here are the parts, suggestions/changes...
I've been waiting on the price drop to buy my parts, but I have decided to just go with the eVGA 8800GTS 320mb over the 640mb, not just to save money but because I'm going to be getting a 19inch monitor and from what I've been reading, the 320mb will still be able to tear through any game out...
I've heard that too.
And not to be repetitive, but would you probably reccommend just go ahead and picking up a copy of Vista when I build this system?

I probably will. I'm taking summer classes right now though and I don't really need a computer that bad, so that's mainly why I was considering waiting for a drop on the dual cores.
Anyways thanks for the answers.
I know the prices on the q6600 are dropping on July 22nd, but what is the main difference between that and the e6600? I posted a build on here a couple days ago and said I wanted to wait on a price drop. My question basically is if getting the q6600 over the dual core is worth it, and if you...
Thanks a lot. I made some changes to the build with the suggestions you had; I went with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 over the Tuniq only because money.
About sticking with XP for now, wouldn't it be smarter to go ahead and get Vista while I'm building a new system so I start fresh with it...
