right, so ive decided to re-install an operating system I cant find my xp cd, so i have decided to install win 2k pro with my cd drive, im on the lanparty nf4 screen for *ages* ( i'm not sure whats up with that ) ..... but anyway, i get through the first stage of installing it ( copying files...

To anyone who followed my ongoing "computer cant start/ monitor wont go on" saga, i thank you....... but i have hit another brick wall i start the computer up.... it goes through a bunch of stuff and i get to the screen wheere it asks me if i want to run windows normall/command prompt/ safe...

I fixed it!!! But i am too ashamed to tell you what was wrong :( :( so we shall leave it at that

i took out all my ram, cpu, graphics card, and left power connected to start it up.... and the leds are still lighting up.... and they should onlly be lighting up if they can detect the hardware, but its a bit hard to detect if it isnt even in.... and i still get no beeps at all.... Anyone...

aww Sh*t :( :( i already have all my power stuff connected ( the 24 pin ), the big 4 pin ( just above the uppermost pcie 16X slot ) , and the little 4 pin ( located next to the uppermost pcieX4 slot { i think} ) then the one on the pcie card. still, thanks for your your help and concern

so if all leds are on, then it should be working! but it isnt... i took everything out of my mobo and started it up, and i still get the leds on... i take it thats a bad thing?

woah, dude... you have the same problem as me ( different hardware, but exact same sort of problem it seems... ive actually got a thread about mine back on the index page....currently a few threads below this one i think..... hmm... maybe a few above ) if you ever find a solution make sure you...

nah, the monitor is fine, i tried another monitor as well, and it made no difference ( and to make sure it wasnt broken, i hooked it up to another comp )

Ive gotten it to turn on again.... but only like it was before ( with just fans and stuff running ) everything is plugged in fine, i double checked....

but all the 4 leds are on... wouldnt that mean that the motherboard cant find and initialize anything?? surely it has to be the mainboard that is broken.... either that or all my other hardware :amazed: i hope not.....
