Partitioning software that works undr XP x64...

Oh, Partition Magic does work? I thought I read that it didn't. I will give it a try. That whole Xfi vs A2 was so long ago... I hardly remember it, lol. What happened to my signature? I don't remember that.

Partitioning software that works undr XP x64...

Does anybody know if there is any full featured partitioning software that will work under XP x64? It looks like all the big ones don't have 64-bit support (Partition Commander, Partition Magic, etc...). I want a program that will run natively under windows, and can create, delete, merge, and...

    Sound Quality?

Ok changing an MP3 from 128kbps to anything higher will not change anything. It will do nothing but lower the quality. Converting a lossy format to the same or another lossy format will always result in a quality drop. Wattage means next to nothing. As stated, make sure you are listening in 2.1.

    Logitech VX Revolution + Soundblaster X-Fi XtremeAudio = $80.00

The new releases of the X-fi suck hard, such as the XtremeAudio, XtremeGamer, etc and any others that recently came out. The only ones to consider are the XtremeMusic, Platinum, Fatal1ty FPS or Elite pro, which are all based around the same base model. The newer ones have a lot of cut backs in...

Help getting sound to work at 22.05khz...

I know the sound card supports it, when I used to have no external DAC I could play back 22.05khz audio just fine. With it, it won't work. Normally it will list it's input signal on the LED display, if it is 44.1 it will say 441, or 960 or 882 or 480, but with a 22.05 input signal it says 000...

Help getting sound to work at 22.05khz...

It's not the sound card, its the external DAC. It doesn't support 22.05KHz audio. Thats why I need some kind of program that will resample anything that is 22.05KHz to 44.1 or 48khz.

Help getting sound to work at 22.05khz...

I run my soundcard out to an external DAC, and the dac does not support 22.05khz sound, which is used frequently online and with lower quality sounds. So I cant hear anything that is 22.05khz. Is there any way I can get all 22.05 khz sound to be resampled to 44.1 or 48khz??

does a sound card make a difference?

Then again, how many people just blindly buy vista and thats not even counting the fact it will come pre installed on every new computer. I'm sticking with XP.

does a sound card make a difference?

I know not ALL m-audio cards. When I say M-Audio and E-MU I really mean the Audiophile 192, the E-MU 0404 and E-MU 1212M. I'm not saying the creative cards are plain BAD, because they're not. They are the best you can get for games and compatibility and hardware acceleration, etc... The reason...

does a sound card make a difference?

If you are looking for gaming features, hardware acceleration and widespread support, creative is almost the only way to go. If you are looking for good sound quality, steer away if possible, especially the Audigy line. M-Audio and E-MU make great sound cards in terms of sound quality. If you...

    Frequency Range

KMAN -- do not worry about the Audio-Technica headphones. I used to own them with an X-fi. Almost all headphones can get 10 times louder then you will ever be able to listen. Stax headphones are very good but somehow I don't quite think that is what he is looking for.
