Cos there's very few countries left in the world that still use it - Liberia, Myanmar (that's Burma), and the USA. Every other country use Celsius, except in the case of scientific use where Kelvin is used. So in the case of the US+Liberia+Myanmar (380 million) versus the rest of the world (6,620 million) it would probably be more sensible for everyone to use Celcius :p

why can't everyone just use frikin farenheight. grrrrr.

I use Celcius when talking about temps for scientific reasons / eletronics devices. I use Fahrenheit for talking about temps outside with friends and such.

And like Yami mentioned... we're in the majority for not using Celsius. I wish the US would switch over to the metric system... makes way more sense =\.

TOO FREICKIN BAD!~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M MAD. IM VERWY ANGWY!!!!

MY SISTER WON'T LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!

Haha joys of working at an airport. I am on a temporary pass so I have to be escorted everywhere by someone with a full pass like my boss. So me and my boss get to the checkpoint with X-ray machine and security. But apparently my bosses pass had just expired 2 minutes ago. So now we can't get back through to our office and we both have to be escorted by security.. even though my boss has worked here for 10 years.

Lol!

I'm starting to do this. When I post temps on here I use Celsius because most people here use it. When I'm talking with people here in person I use Fahrenheit.

Re: Today I have...

It's not quite the same, my 'job' is an apprenticeship. I'm not supposed to know anything. I am supposed to be trained for it, and i am therefor being paid less than minimum wage for a skilled job.

And you couldn't do this job without any training I promise you that. They use a lot of custom software that you have no knowledge of. A Microsoft guy with 20 different certificates in everything you could imagine would still need training if they havn't worked here before.

I can do most of the hardware stuff except printers. I can troubleshoot most of all the Win7 issues people have. Some of the XP issues (I was young when using Xp, not much experience). The only hardware bit I can't do yet is fixing the big commercial printers and installing phone lines into the servers that handle digital phones.

It's the software side which is a *****

Edit:

Puddle jumper hit the nail on the head I think.
That's why I said anything pertaining to your specific job. Every company runs different software to control different things which you have to be trained for. Anything else IMO is something you should be qualified for. Just feel lucky, most if not all apprenticeships over here aren't paid. But with what you're saying, it fits the bill of what I was talking about previously to a T. If I went to any local place in this area (there are a lot) asking for a job of which I knew almost nothing about, I would be turned around at the spot. Yet these guys I chat with all brag about how they dick around because they don't know a certain thing and let somebody else on the team take care of it. It's like, why do you get paid a high amount per year to NOT be qualified for your position you've been working years, yet guys like me who could easily do your job and actually get things done sit at home. Ffs, I don't want to live in this world anymore.
