Windows 7 add printer non admin

i click add a printer

choose the network printer

it tries to install driver

fails for access is denied


i swear that previously i would right click add a printer and it would have run as administrator on it

now when i right click or shift richt click, i do not see that option.

Is your PC on a domain? Is your windows account an admin account?

Hold the left shift key then right click add printer. You should now have the run as option.

computer is on the domain logged on as a normal user (no admin)

i tried left shift + right click, but got the same menu as with no shift.

does holding shift work on your machine. i could try this key / click combo on another pc. im not back in the office until monday.
