U3 flash drive/Windows 10

I just finished my first pc build (Yay!!) and am going to install windows 10 on it. I want to use an old flash drive (to get the download, plug into new pc, etc.) that I don't need the files on and can wipe, however, it is a U3 drive, will this work? (Or do I have to remove the U3 capability?)

I would wipe/format it and remove the U3 functionality. Best to keep it simple.
