A quick Backing Up question

I find it highly unlikely to get the answer I want to this question but hey, lets go....

Sick of Vista. Haven't dabbled with Win 7 enough yet to know or trust it, so am downgrading back to trusty old XP SP3 again. I know it works sweetly enough on this system (2GB RAM,120GB HD,2.6Ghz Celeron Asus Laptop btw) ....

........Heres the question. WIll the back up facility in Vista work backwards to XP?? I can't really be bothered to backup manually, there are a shedload of files in various places and formats to do. But I cannot, stress CANNOT lose them.If it won't work can someone suggest decent Backup software that will??

Any suggestions will be greatly greatly appreciated

No the backup utility will NOT work in XP. The Utility doesnt even exist in the same form in XP as it is in Vista. Sorry.

You best option is going to be to backup manually to a external drive.

another alternative, prolly would have to setup a batch file though. it can be used to only backup the files that were added or changed. also, allows for multithreading.
