I had Adobe Reader 7(free version) and went to use it to read something. It said there was a new version 8 that I could upgrade to, so I down loaded it. When I tried to install it, a window came up and said that it could not remove the old version to install the new. I then went to control panel and add and remove programs. I clicked on Adobe Reader 7 and tried to remove it, but it just flashed and it was still there. I then went to My Computer and found the Adobe file in programs and deleted it. I tried the install again with the same results, only this time it said it could not remove the old Adobe Reader 8. I also tried restarting my computer and even tried deleting and redownloading the 8 version twice. Is there any help you can give me even to get back the old version. By the way I am using Windows XP.
Thank You

Use Revo Uninstaller to remove Reader 7. Then install Reader 8.
