- New / shortcut
- in box where it says, "type the location of the item" type, shutdown -s -t 30 -c "your message here"
Translation:
Shutdown -s (seconds) -t(time) 30(time in seconds, put how long or short) -c (comment) "type a message that will show up in box"
- Click next
- in box where it says, "type a name for this shortcut" give it a name for something that one of your friend use a lot, IE. Internet Explorer
- Right click on shortcut you just made
- Properties/Change icon/OK/select internet explorer icon/OK
and your set. to cancel the shutdown, do the following
- RUN
- shutdown -a
-enter
and your safe
*Trying to do:
to be able for a folder to open up and have it frozen open and have the shutdown timer still counting down. If you know how to do this, please post how.
