Firefox - Java Applet problems

Problem is it's not working.

Can anyone assist me on what I need to do. I've been trying to sort this out for the last few hours and can't seem to fix it. I've updated everything but it still won't run, it works in IE fine, everything is configured i have folowed every instruction down to a tee, but I can't get the applet running.

It went out earlier today after my scanner detected a virus and dealt with it.

any help would be really appreciated.

No, i'm just someone who wants to get his computer working again.

I had this - Java/OpenStream virus/trojan.

and now my browser won't function, so i am after some advice one what to do.

Are you sure the trojan is gone?

well i ran avg and it said there was nothing there, and it picked it up originally.

i'm checking with trendmicro house call now.

Well if you are sure its gone i would think the only thing to do was remove firefox and reinstall...

If the trojan is in your system registry you can try to use a registry cleaner, which will remove all non-system files

very interesting... yes yes make sure the trojan is completely gone
just cause mcafee (or whoever) says its gone doesnt mean it is.

i got the same problem.... all u gotta do to fix it is go to file, import and import it all from internet explorer it worked for me
