Default Help with old broken HP Pavilion dv2000

Hello, I have an old HP pavilion dv2000 which has a motherboard problem. It won't turn on at all. It has the AMD version of the motherboard with 4gb ram, a 250 gb hard drive and a 14.1 display . Is it possible to replace it with the intel version of the same laptop because they are far more reliable, and more easily available?
