I saw a question similar to this on the forum, so I'm hoping someone can help me with this one.
I'm resurrecting a Dell 4150 laptop for a limited use. The battery that was with it is old, and will charge but then depletes very quickly, in about 30 minutes of use. I purchased a new battery, but it would not charge. It had about 40% when it arrived, but it you click it into the bay it adds about 2 or 3 percent and then quits adding. I thought it was a bad battery, and returned it and got another, but I'm having the identical problem. However, it can't be the power cord or power supply, because the old battery will charge to 100% just fine. Is there something new about batteries since this laptop was built? Anybody got any ideas on why this might be happening?
