Wired to Wireless Peripherals

I want to make my scanner, printer and other peripherals, that are currently wired, to wireless using wireless usb adapters. But, is it possible to do this without adding a wireless network/pricey router to my tower? I'm thinking there is a hub that connects to the usb port on my tower that would communicate with those mentioned peripherals and their small (out of sight) wireless usb adapters.

the only thing that I can think of that will do what you want to do would be a wireless AIO (all in one) I know that's not what you want but it might be your best option
