What GPU should I get?

I am now starting to build my first computer ^_^ and I'm a little unsure which card will ofer me the best

Basicly I'm after power in exchage for large amounts of money.

My budget will probly be £250-£300. So what whould be the best card I can get for that amount. Also I will be having a PCI-e bored.

For that price you should look at a 7800GTX.

I agree with Shumway, but if you're willing to wait and save up an extra 50-100£ then you may be able to get the r520 from ATI (that is if it is what it promises)

It's hard to tell if this card will be more powerful when released than the 7800GTX.
