k i got a choice between video cards

either a ATI X700

a LEADtek 6600GT

or a XFX 6600GT,

they are all around the same price

also, is it worth getting a SLI mobo and later get another 6600GT or not

SLI is overrated. Unless you're richie rich it's not a very economic solution for better graphics really.

I'd say go for eVGA brand, they have both PCI-E and AGP versions of the card out and are a very reputable brand. Although out of those 3 if I HAD to choose I'd choose Leadtek.

If you were to already have a PCI-E based board then would it even be worth it to then buy a SLI board later plus another graphics card? Doesn't seem like it'd be worth it in that sense.

no i would just get the sli board at the start

then get the 2nd graphics card later, i would buy 2boards

but im probably gonna opt not 2 since im looking for the cheapest solutions

i got 1gb of corsair memory
either a 64 3200+ or 3500+
the eVGA 6600GT
a pci-E mobo (undecided)
phantom case w/ 480W PS
hitachi 80gb sata hd
thats about it....

i wouldnt see it as amazing but it will definitly fit my needs
