Video card?

At the moment im running a geforce4 ti4200 128mb. I was wanting to upgrade to a new card, nothing top of the line or anything, but a relatively decent, but cheap card. Anybody have any reccomendations?? Im kinda getting tired of playing games at 10 frames per second

Just looked up the 6600GT, it says the interface for that card is 8x. My motherboard manual says my AGP slot supports 1x/2x/4x. Would the card still run fine or is my motherboard just that outdated

...yep it would just operate at AGP 4x.

Make sure it's the same AGP specification though, especially if your motherboard is quite old. You can get different AGP slot which support specific voltages.

AGP 8X cards can work at 4X, but not 2X or 1X
