Terayon Cable Modem Orange Light

Hi, I have recently been having a problem with my cable modem. All of a sudden, the [online] light will turn orange, and the [send] and [receive] lights will start flashing (green). My internet will then not work, but if I unplug the power to the modem and then plug it back in, the modem will start working in 2 minutes. Then, usually after 3 minutes of searching the internet, the orange light will go on again.

This has only been happening for an hour, but im curious if this will start happening all the time. I just installed windows xp professional, so could this have something to do with it?

Also, I am behind a router [linksys], if that help the situation.

So does anybody know the solution to this, or why this is happening?

I had the same problem sort of, my cable modem's connection light would start blinking and my internet would quit working. My problem was my ISP, I called them and they said they were having technical issues. I'd suggest calling your ISP.
