I'm starting to order and here is a list of things I'm getting:

are there any major components im missing (reusing my old comp's floppy drive)? im getting all this for just under $800. is this too expensive?

Did intel start the 800 FSB CPUs at P-IV 2.4Ghz. I have never seen them down here. Let alone P-IV 2.4 Ghz.

You might want to see what the price difference is between P-IV 2.4 Ghz @ FSB 800 and P-IV 2.6 Ghz @ FSB 800.

As for the ram, check on the DDR Ram @ 400Mhz pricing.

My view on computer purchases is "If you are going to be spending a lot of money, it does not hurt to spend a few dollars more to get the most out of it"
 
very true, although newegg does not have the 2.6 in stock at the moment, however the price difference would be $10. i guess ill check up on the DDR 400 as well.
