sound card

my friend gave me a sound card from his old computer he says its a good one but dosent know the name of it, whe i got home and installed it on my system its asking me for drivers i dont know the name of the card nor the drivers needed. how can i fidn out what card this is.

it has a rear spk plug and back spk plug, in and MIc plugs any idea?

look on the chips on the circuit board....it migh say something like "creative" or the like. in that case it would be a soundblaster which would mean you have a bottom of the line horrible consumer card. otherwise, i dunno, also check for the serial number and do a google search. Also, it doesn't seem like it's too great since there's no spdif connection but then it depends what you consider good to mean.
