So my monitor flickers quite often, usually for about 10 minute after coming out of sleep, then just on and off every few minutes. It flickers in that it'll quickly switch between regular brightness and slightly less bright continuously. Do you think it's failing? It would be awesome to learn it's a loose connection problem, but I doubt it, I checked. It's a vga monitor, connected to my video card through a dvi adapter that came with the last card I bought.
My computer is not weak by any means, but I'll post my specs just in case:
Processor: AMT Athlon II X3 445 ~3.10 GHz
RAM: 8GB
OS: Windows 7 64-bit
Video Card: MSI Twin Frozr II GTX 570
PSU: 650Watt OCZ (I think it's OCZ anyway, I don't feel like crouching behind the computer)
As I am typing this my monitor started going black, not completely though. It would go to like 2% brightness to where I can barely see anything. How long do you think I have until my monitor stops working completely? I can't buy a new one until next Friday.
EDIT: The brightness option for my monitor is completely grayed out.
