probably a bit of a strange question but can i run my 400mhz amd k6 off a 60w 12v supply. The reason is that i was looking at buying a mini itx board and thought why bother if i can use my existing motherboard which is only a little bigger 23cm x 19cm.
to make the system as small and quiet as possible i want to use the 12v supplies that you can buy for the mini itx boards (external 240v to 12v transformer and a small 12v board for powerdistrubution in the pc) will this be ok?
I was only going to run a 3.5 harddrive and perhaps a cd rom. Would i get cooling problems with only the cpu fan in the box?.
Any ideas /suggestions appreciated.
