Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and I'm sure there have been about a gizillion of the "rate my pc" threads, but..... Here's mine!

Blue Aspire X-Superalien case
Gigabyte K8NNXP motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
1 gig PC2700 ram (I know, I know, I need PC3200)
Western Digital 7200rpm 120gig hard drive
Radeon 9600xt 128mb video card

Thanks!

If thats yours now i could think of about a billion better computers and about 10 upgrades you could do
scsi or sata hard drives
overclock
watercooling
mod case
better drives
MORE memory
better video card

I think the computer i built for a shop with 2.4ghz and mobo video could outperform....

Your computer is about average... although average users only have 512MB RAM.

Sure there are some upgrades you could do, but nothing that can't wait a few months.

The good thing is, you have left yourself with loads of room for upgrades.

Upgrade:

AMD Athlon 64bit 3700 64Bit (32Bit Compatible) CPU (1Mb 2nd level Cache) Socket 754 or higher.

1 Gb (2 x 512 Mb) Corsair TwinX, DDR500, PC4000PT, Cas 2

**************************************************
256Mb X800 XT Platinum Edition (GDDR3, D-Sub, DVI, VIVO)

OR

256MB GeForce 6800 ULTRA DDR 3 Tv/DVI
**************************************************

2x74Gb Western Digital Raptor Enterprise (10Krpm,8MB) on a RAID -0 configuration, using High Point Rocket RAID 1640 (4 channel SATA) controller.

For EXTREME overclockers use:

Yesico Fanless 420W PSU with TMS (Thermo Management System)

Vapochill Complete Extreme Edition - AMD (Socket A) Titanium with Side Window (FS-019-VP) £444 or $825 (USD)

The above cooling (+ cool looking case) will hit your CPU temperature down to -50 degrees centigrade allowing you to overclock your AMD Athlon by 1GHz or more.

save opening up another rate my pc thread, could you guys rate mine, its my first build, and i am always adding more.

Coolermaster Praetorian Case (silver)

Sapphire 9600 XT 128mb
Leadtek TV card + Remote
Antec True Blue 480w PSU
