ram makes all the difference

wow. i bought another 512 ram for my comp, which now totals 1GB. (4x256) i have found that i have a resonably large increase of framerates. cod2 is much more playable, and i have even bumped fear up to 1024x768. with 73% over 25fps on the test thing.

RAM is an essential speed booster for your PC, i would go for at least 512 MB, because its so painful with less RAM.

You'd get even better performance if you had 2 X 512MB instead of 4 X 256M

yea, but i already had 2x256, and didnt want the 512 i already had to go to waste. i thought it would be more worthwhile me spending the money if i went for another 2x256, instead of spending twice the price on 2x512, and not using my old stuff.
