quiet dvd burner

im trying to build a quiet computer (thanks to my hp laptop that sounds like a supersonic jet)

anyways, are there any dvd+/-rw that are relatively quiet? i know theres gonna be some sound, but which are quieter than usual?

every DVD burner sounds the same..i have a antec or artec ( i always get confused by em) and its quiet. ITs 8x too.

anyways, im actually looking to buy one of those new dual layer dvd+/-rw drives . . .

i heard lite-on drives are much quieter than others; i found a dual layer one on newegg for $100

This may be irrelevant but my friend got an external dvd 8x dual layer burner for 110 bucks. Seemed like a good deal, i would say any burner will do just step away from the cheapos

wow, thats a VERY good deal, considering that regular 8x dvd+/-rw external drives go for about $169 (and those go hot off the shelves too, cause those are good deals)

i would buy the megastor or nec dual layer internals, but i've heard that lite-on drives are pretty quiet, and i don't mind paying $15 for something very quiet

Yah i have heard lite on drives are good as well as plextor drives are very good to but they might be to exspensive
