port 6881

i was going to download a music video using bitterent but it gives me "Port 6881 is blacklisted" can i stop it from doing this?

My guess is that you're behind a Router firewall?

What you'll need to do is configure the port forwarding on your router for that port number.

personally iv never encounted that, but then again i dont download tons of crap with it so i prolly wouldnt encounter to much.

sounds like u just need to change the port... any info u need id imagine is somewere in the above link. i also believe the client your using maynot be the most convienyent, take a look at the BT softwere list in that link.

You need to go into settings for your Bittorrent client and change the port to something else. The site you got the torrent file from should have a FAQ that tells you which ports are blocked and which are not.
