I have windows ME and my explorer as soon as I boot up it keeps saying Explorer has caused an error in ~7482688781.TMP. . so I go into my programs and click repair explorer and it goes through the motions then said it must restart to complete but when it restarts it goes into sleep mode and doesnt wake up.I have to hold the button in to reboot and its not fixing explorer error.....plzzzzz help

Very annoying to fix explorer related problems. Make sure you have all the recent windows service packs.. try looking for an explorer fix/repair/replacement install file in microsoft.com.. if all else fails just reinstall windows.

Ive tried all the fixes but it still does the same thing.....how can I reinstall windows if I dont have a disc?

If its a store-bought PC, it'll either have a restore disk or a restore partition. Boot from either one and it should let you do a complete system restore.
