PC to TV HELP

i just got a 23inch mintek hdtv. its pc ready. i plugged the vga into the back of the tv and nothing happens. i changed the resolution and all, but still nothing. please help

You have to change the mode on the TV. Component, video, cable, etc... I'm sure there is a VGA mode on the TV you have to switch it to to use the monitor of it.
